Marilyn Wilder Receives Mediation Certificate

Marilyn M. Wilder recently received certification from the Supreme Court of the State of Kansas, Office of Judicial Administration, as an approved mediator. This approval comes following 48 hours of training, fulfillment of co-mediation requirements and recommendations from others involved in the legal system. Mediation is a method of dispute resolution outside of litigation. It involves bringing the parties to the dispute together with a neutral third party to discuss possible resolutions. Pankratz Elected as Harvey County Bar Officer

The Harvey County Bar Association recently chose new officers for the coming year. Randy Pankratz of Adrian & Pankratz, P.A. was elected President. Harold Schorn, District Court Trustee, will serve as Vice-President, Greg Nye of Nye and Nye was elected as Secretary and Newton City Attorney, Bob Myers, will serve as Treasurer. The association meets monthly and provides organization and support for annual Law Day observances in Harvey County schools.
